Job description
- Develop and implement visual merchandising concepts and standard guidelines for common areas, storefronts, zoning, and promotional spaces within the shopping mall.
- Provide visual merchandising standards and guidelines to tenants, ensuring alignment with the mall’s overall image, positioning, concept, zoning strategy, and brand standards.
- Drive visual merchandising improvements by closely advising new, local, and underperforming tenants on shop design, product presentation, and decorative elements to enhance brand consistency and mall image.
- Analyze customer flow, visual impact, and campaign effectiveness to continuously improve visual merchandising strategies.
- Manage visual merchandising budgets, timelines, and external vendors (designers, contractors, suppliers), ensuring cost efficiency and maximum value.
- Coordinate with designers to align design concepts with tenant mix policies, brand image, style, materials, and specifications (especially for local tenants).
- Plan and execute visual merchandising campaigns, festive decorations, and thematic displays to enhance the mall’s visual appeal.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Leasing, and Operations teams to ensure consistency between visual merchandising, branding, and promotional activities.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of visual displays, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and brand compliance at all times.
- Conduct regular mall walkthroughs and visual audits to identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Fashion Design, or related fields (visual merchandising experience is preferred).
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in shopping malls, retail chains, or lifestyle brands.
- Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, retail psychology, and customer experience design.
- High level of creativity with a strong commercial mindset.
- Proficient in visual presentation tools and design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong communication, coordination, and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
